Ism-i Nur
She describes illumination as a means of expressing her feelings. Her interest in studying illumination began while she was in college in Istanbul Turkey, but her love of this art form started even earlier and made her a consistent visitor of classical Turkish art sections of museums and exhibitions in Turkey. Her dream of studying illumination started fading when she came to the United States in 2005. When a lovely coincidence led her to meet a student of Mujgan Baskoylu in 2013 and consequently to be accepted to her study group, her dreams finally became a reality. Although she is at an early stage of her education, she has a mission to improve herself to meet the aspirations of her teacher and her group mates, thus contributing to fine examples of Islamic arts.
